Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry

Restorative dentistry is the area of dentistry concerned with repair and replacement of damaged or lost teeth. With techniques and materials such as nanofilled composite resin (white) fillings, crowns made with new materials like zirconium oxide and lithium disilicate, such as Emax, we can restore teeth to have strength and beauty like new. These crowns are made with computer aided design and manufacturing. This technology is just amazing, and it is changing the way teeth are restored. We are now using the Sirona Cerec scanner, which enables us to scan teeth rather than taking an impression. The scan is electronically sent to the lab or milling center instantly for fabrication.

Not too many years ago diseased teeth were removed. Today, however, due to root canal treatment the tooth can many times be saved. Endodontics is necessary when the tooth’s pulp becomes diseased or injured. The pulp is the soft tissue inside the tooth containing blood vessels and nerves.

We use state of the art procedures. technology and anesthetics to complete treatment. This, contrary to popular myth, can be accomplished painlessly.

By removing the diseased pulp and sealing the pulp space the tooth can be retained. Properly restored, the endodontic treated tooth can last a lifetime.

Temporomandibular Joint and Muscle Disorders (TMJ)

Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders, commonly known as “TMJ,” refers to a condition that causes joint and muscle pain in the jaw area. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) states that over 10 million people in the United States suffer from TMJ problems at any given time. We see examples of these problems in our office every day. To better serve, you we have instituted a treatment regimen to address diagnosis and ultimately treat these issues and promote proper bite function.

Pediatric Services

We love children and they love us! We like to start our children with “happy” visits as soon as possible. This makes transitioning to regular cleanings and exams easier. The most important part of pediatric dental care is prevention. We offer a children’s room for their enjoyment.
